The 396 MPT and 382 MPT high-speed flotation radial tyres with speeds of up to 100kph for agricultural trucks. \u201cThese high-speed low pressure flotation tires offer the best-in-class solution because they allow for efficient work, both in the field and on the road. These tires show a lower rate of tread wear on the road: That ensures longer tire life and is one important purchase criterion for our customers\u201d, says Dr. George Ronai, Head of Development Department, ATG.<\/p>\n

Based on studies conducted on future trends, Alliance was the first manufacturer to deliver this solution and still is the only brand that offers purpose-built high-speed flotation tires. \u201cOur MPT tires are designed for high-speed performance on the road similar to regular truck tires. At the same time, however, these tires meet all the requirements for working in agricultural fields. That is particularly true with regard to ground pressure and resulting soil compaction which both are minimised due to the design of these low-pressure flotation radial tires\u201d, explains Ronai.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe all-steel radial construction provides a robust base that provides superior puncture protection and also enables larger footprints, thus further reducing ground pressure. The tires provide optimum traction for in-field use, and also superior comfort during high-speed road transport. The special compound used in these tires prevents any excessive heat build-up, cuts, hunking or damage caused by stubbles in the field\u201d, emphasises Dr. Ronai.
\nThe growing necessity to increase farm productivity has also resulted in the need for more efficient transport solutions. This includes shortening the time required for transport work whilst increasing the amount of goods carried each time. That is exactly where trucks come into play: designed for high road speeds and large loads, they only need to be adapted to also travelling in fields, thus allowing the same truck to collect harvested produce right at the combine or other harvesting machinery in the field and then transport goods to storage facilities or processing plants. This significantly decreases the transport cycle time and also reduces farm or contract business inventory, thus markedly increasing performance and efficiency.<\/p>\n
