Dunlop’s D212 GP Pro tyre has been named \u2018Tyre of the Year\u2019 in the 2013 Fast Bikes Awards. The supersports tyre which was launched this year, received the accolade in the magazine\u2019s round up of 2013\u2019s leading motorcycles, accessories and events.<\/p>\n

Answering to the needs of race professionals and track day riders, the D212 GP Pro has been designed to deliver the speed, reliable grip and solid performances that only professional racing tyres can provide. In reflection of this, Fast Bikes described the tyre as \u201cunbelievable\u201d and cited the D212 GP Pro\u2019s side grip and stability as key reasons for the win.<\/p>\n
The award recognised Michael Dunlop\u2019s two victories in one day of the Isle of Man TT and his class lap record of 131.220mph on Dunlop D212 GP Pro tyres, faster than he achieved on a slick-shod superbike. The road legal tyres took to the track in the Supersport and Superstock classes and continued Dunlop tyres’ winning streak, winning both races and taking five out of the six podium places available.<\/p>\n
