A radial whitewall version of Avon\u2019s acclaimed Cobra motorcycle tyre has been chosen as the original equipment fitment to the brand new Triumph Thunderbird LT.<\/p>\n
In a world first for motorcycle tyres, Avon partnered with fellow British brand Triumph to develop the unique radial whitewall motorcycle rubber, which delivers performance superior to bias-ply tyres. Triumph demanded this performance as class-leading handling was one of their targets for the Thunderbird LT.<\/p>\n
Launched at the 71st International Motorcycle Exhibition (EICMA) in Milan on Nov. 5-10, the Thunderbird LT is a classic touring cruiser which will be on sale from Spring 2014, and each one that rolls off the production line will be shod with the eye-catching whitewall Cobras, adding to the classic styling of the bike.<\/p>\n
The Cobra is one of Avon\u2019s most established models. Incorporating sports tyre technology, the product is both nimble and able to deal with heavier loads, making it the ideal choice for the power cruiser and touring market.<\/p>\n
