The Mitas PneuTrac concept mounted on a 38″ rim was unveiled at the Mitas stand at the Agritechnica 2013 fair in Hannover. Mitas has already started testing the PneuTrac concept on an 18″ rim. The tests demonstrated the clear advantages of PneuTrac over the conventional designs of tyre. The most important PneuTrac benefits are a larger footprint, higher lateral stability and greater tractive force at a lower inflation pressure when compared with the standard tyre. Mitas is developing its PneuTrac concept with its partner, Galileo Wheel Ltd.<\/p>\n

\u201cMitas PneuTrac boasts significantly higher productivity and lower operational costs thanks to better traction and improved transfer of power to the ground,\u201d said Andrew Mabin, Mitas\u2019 sales and marketing director. \u201cPneuTrac is mountable on standard rims,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Mitas PneuTrac is bringing to reality new tyre design concept with a bigger footprint and lower inflation pressure with even ground pressure distribution and less soil compaction\u201d said Alon Hayka, the CEO of Galileo Wheel Ltd.<\/p>\n

The footprint of Mitas PneuTrac is 53% larger compared with the standard tyre, and it provides a higher tractive force. This ensures gentle ground handling with much lower and improved distribution of pressure to the ground with less soil compaction. The lateral stability of Mitas PneuTrac is on a very high level compared with a standard tyre, even 167% higher.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
