{"id":6337,"date":"2013-10-31T17:32:05","date_gmt":"2013-10-31T16:32:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=6337"},"modified":"2013-11-01T10:56:26","modified_gmt":"2013-11-01T09:56:26","slug":"contenders-for-2014-continental-irish-van-of-the-year-title-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/contenders-for-2014-continental-irish-van-of-the-year-title-announced\/6337","title":{"rendered":"Contenders for 2014 Continental Irish Van of the Year title announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The list of eligible vans for the title of Continental Irish Van of the Year 2014 has been announced by the Irish Motoring Writers\u2019 Association (IMWA) Van of the Year Jury.\u00a0 The winner of the 2014 overall Irish Van of the Year title will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry on Thursday November 21, 2013.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/contenders-for-2014-continental-irish-van-of-the-year-title-announced\/6337\/ivoty\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6338\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6338\" alt=\"ivoty\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/ivoty.jpg\" width=\"211\" height=\"138\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe eligible vans for this year\u2019s award are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Mercedes-Benz Sprinter<br \/>\nNissan NV200<br \/>\nRenault Kangoo<br \/>\nToyota ProAce<\/p>\n<p>The Continental Irish Van of the Year jury is comprised of nine specialist members of the IMWA.\u00a0 In order to find the winning van and category winners each year, the jury members assess each van that is launched on the Irish market, grading each vehicle on such attributes as: value for money, versatility, build quality and performance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor Irish van drivers or fleet managers in the market for a new van, the overall guidance and reviews of the IMWA van jury are a great help in identifying what just might be the best vehicle to meet their needs\u201d, said Tom Dennigan of Continental Tyres.<\/p>\n<p>Brian Byrne, Chairman of the IMWA Van Jury said: \u201cIn the context of the overall depressed market, we have a reduced number of entrants for this year\u2019s award \u2013 however, they are all excellent vehicles and it is still a wide open competition for the title\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The winners of the Continental Irish Van of the Year 2014 category award winners \u2013 Car-Derived Van and SUV Commercial \u2013 will be announced in January 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s Continental Irish Van of the Year title was awarded to the Ford Transit Custom.\u00a0 The Car-Derived Van and Commercial SUV category awards went to the Ford Fiesta Van and the Ford Kuga Van respectively.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The list of eligible vans for the title of Continental Irish Van of the Year 2014 has been announced by the Irish Motoring Writers\u2019 Association (IMWA) Van of the Year Jury.\u00a0 The winner of the 2014 overall Irish Van of the Year title will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":6339,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[624],"class_list":["post-6337","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","tag-continental-irish-van-of-the-year-2014"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
