Cooper Tire is to become the official tyre supplier to the US-based Indy Lights Series from 2014, making Cooper the official tyre of the entire Mazda Road to Indy ladder.<\/p>\n
The agreement, which will initially span the next five years, with the option to extend beyond the end of the 2018 season, underlines Cooper\u2019s on-going commitment to its worldwide motorsport programme.<\/p>\n
It is an exciting time for Cooper to be joining the Indy Lights Series, as the series organisers recently announced an updated car for the 2014 season, with a brand new car to be introduced at the start of the 2015 season.
\nTesting is due to begin in September and it is believed that the new tyre, coupled with chassis updates, is set to offer greater parity amongst competitors from next year.<\/p>\n
