{"id":5913,"date":"2013-09-19T12:13:22","date_gmt":"2013-09-19T11:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=5913"},"modified":"2013-09-19T12:13:22","modified_gmt":"2013-09-19T11:13:22","slug":"calor-gas-signs-two-year-goodyear-dunlop-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/calor-gas-signs-two-year-goodyear-dunlop-deal\/5913","title":{"rendered":"Calor Gas signs two-year Goodyear Dunlop deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Calor Gas Ltd, the UK\u2019s leading supplier of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has signed a two-year deal with Goodyear Dunlop following a successful trial period.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/calor-gas-signs-two-year-goodyear-dunlop-deal\/5913\/hpim0306-jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5915\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5915\" alt=\"HPIM0306.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Calor-Gas.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Calor-Gas.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Calor-Gas-120x80.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/09\/Calor-Gas-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe trial, which lasted two years, looked specifically at the total life cost of tyres focusing in on areas such as product performance, durability and service offering with the tests putting Goodyear on top.<\/p>\n<p>David Brown, Fleet Asset Manager from Calor Gas Ltd said: \u201cFor us the two year trial was the perfect test, we looked at many different areas and the results showed that Goodyear offered the best performance without compromising other criteria. One thing we cannot compromise on is safety and we saw the same commitment from Goodyear which is what makes this such a great partnership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 78-year-old company will now fit its tractor units, trailers and rigids with Goodyear\u2019s regional haul tyres as well as utilising the company\u2019s excellent retread offering NextTread. Goodyear\u2019s latest generation regional haul tyre KMAX will also be introduced to the fleet following its launch in Milan in September.<\/p>\n<p>Marc Preedy, Commercial Director for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres said: \u201cWe worked very closely with Calor Gas to ensure that we arrived at a package of products and services that best suited their needs. It is great to see that after entering into a two year trial we have showed that our total service offering is at the very top end of the market.
