Under-inflated tyres affect handling and grip, potentially causing irregular or unpredictable vehicle behaviour. They are also much more likely to suffer from a dangerous blowout, especially on high-speed motorway journeys.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/motorists-urged-to-check-their-tyres\/5609\/tyre-pressure\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5610\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5610\" alt=\"tyre pressure\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tyre-pressure.jpg\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tyre-pressure.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/tyre-pressure-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>By keeping tyres at their optimum pressure, running costs are also reduced. Under-inflated tyres require a bigger force to make them turn, so a car uses more fuel.
