<\/p>\nATS Euromaster, the Michelin-owned car and van fast-fit business, has confirmed plans to begin “a structured wind-down” of its operations in the UK.<\/p>\n
The move comes after the closure of 86 of its most unprofitable centres in 2025 failed to halt significant financial losses.<\/p>\n

Aiming to preserve “as many jobs as possible”, ATS Euromaster said it is looking to sell 35 of its 152 points of sale to Formula One Autocentres, and 14 points of sale to S&M Tyres, which trades as Elite Garages.<\/p>\n
Subject to the completion of these sales, 216 employees across the 49 sites are expected to transfer to the new owners under TUPE regulations.<\/p>\n
ATS Euromaster said it would no longer be viable for the company to operate beyond these sales, as the reduced scale of the network would “lack the geographic reach to compete effectively in the UK”.<\/p>\n
The potential closures only affect ATS Euromaster, and no other part of the Euromaster Group.<\/p>\n
ATS Euromaster said 703 roles will be placed at risk of redundancy across its Aston-based head office, call centre and remaining 103 points of sale if the proposals proceed.<\/p>\n
It is proposed that 13 staff in the specialist role of mobile night technician will be invited to transfer under TUPE to Tructyre, a separate Euromaster Group business.<\/p>\n
All current and upcoming vacancies within Tructyre will also be offered to ATS Euromaster staff as a priority to avoid some compulsory redundancies.<\/p>\n
ATS Euromaster points of sale cited for potential closure will remain open throughout the period of consultation, which will run until 30th April, 2026.<\/p>\n
If proposals proceed, the final day of trading for all points of sale would be 1st May, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
