<\/p>\nCircol ELT is set to hold a series of Farm Tyre Take Back Days nationwide later this month. The first official Farm Tyre Take-Back Day will take place at Crossmore Tyre Recycling, Kildorrery, Co. Cork, on 20th\u201322nd November.<\/p>\n
Further dates for spring and autumn 2026 and 2027 will be announced following this event, ensuring all regions have access to a subsidised rate for the recycling of waste tyres no longer in use on farms.<\/p>\n
This initiative is part of Circol ELT\u2019s ongoing commitment to support the farming community in managing their waste tyres in a safe and compliant manner.<\/p>\n

Who:<\/strong> Farmers with a herd number and farm waste tyres Guidelines for Participation<\/strong> Approximate conversion: 110 car tyres = one tonne; 14 large truck tyres = one tonne; seven rear tractor tyres (80\u2013100hp) = 1 tonne.\u2028 Up to four tonnes (approx. 400 car tyres) can be recycled for \u20ac50\/ tonne and thereafter at \u20ac120\/tonne.<\/p>\n \u201cOur priority is to support the farming community with a fair and practical solution for sustainably managing waste tyres, while also ensuring the highest environmental standards,\u201d said Bill Collins, CEO of Circol ELT.<\/p>\n \u201cThis national programme is being rolled out to provide farmers with an accessible, affordable and effective way to dealing with tyres no longer fit for use.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Circol ELT is set to hold a series of Farm Tyre Take Back Days nationwide later this month. \nWhat:<\/strong> Up to 4 tonnes of tyres can be recycled at a subsidised rate of \u20ac50 per tonne. Any additional tonnage will be charged at a rate of \u20ac120 per ton.

\nHow:<\/strong> Farmers must register in advance on www.circolelt.ie. A herd number and estimated tyre numbers will be required.<\/p>\n
\nService is open to farmers only (herd number required).\u2028 Tyres must be clean, dry and free from debris (stones, clay, water).\u2028 Tyres with steel rims attached or contaminated tyres will not be accepted.<\/p>\n
