<\/p>\nNexen Tire has just launched its new \u2018N\u2019FERA Supreme EV ROOT\u2019. It says that it is an advanced high-performance tyre engineered to deliver optimal performance for both electric vehicles (EVs) and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.<\/p>\n

The South Korean manufacturer says that this next-generation tyre builds upon the success of its premium comfort model, the \u2018N\u2019FERA Supreme\u2019, and introduces key enhancements tailored to the unique demands of modern mobility.<\/p>\n
Designed with a High Load (HL) rating to support the heavier weight of EV batteries, particularly in electric SUVs, the tyre also features sound-absorbing materials for a quieter ride. A newly optimised square-shaped contact patch and Nexen\u2019s proprietary 3D kerf technology further improve grip and stability across all seasons.<\/p>\n
Nexen tells us that in real-world testing with the Kia EV6, the \u2018N\u2019FERA Supreme EV ROOT\u2019 demonstrated measurable gains in key performance categories. These include wet and dry handling and comfort improved by 13 per cent, while rolling resistance was reduced by approximately 20 per cent, contributing to improved efficiency and road feel. These enhancements reflect Nexen Tire\u2019s commitment to offering a single, high-performance solution suitable for both EVs and ICE vehicles.<\/p>\n
The \u2018EV ROOT\u2019 mark, newly introduced in the second half of 2025, will serve as Nexen Tire\u2019s official designation for products that meet stringent performance criteria across both vehicle types.<\/p>\n
The \u2018N\u2019FERA Supreme EV ROOT\u2019 is currently available in the Korean market, but the product line will expand globally as time progresses. Over time, the company will expand the EV ROOT mark across its product portfolio, aiming to establish a unified standard for performance, regardless of drivetrain or powertrain.<\/p>\n
As part of this initiative, Nexen Tire is also accelerating product innovation through cutting-edge technology. The company has developed an AI-powered performance prediction system to precisely simulate tyre characteristics such as fuel efficiency, noise, grip, handling and stiffness \u2013 speeding up development and enhancing accuracy.<\/p>\n
In addition, Nexen has introduced Korea\u2019s first VR-based \u2018High Dynamic Driving Simulator\u2019 in the automotive industry, enabling real-time virtual testing to optimise tire performance during the design phase.<\/p>\n
