According to SIMI, EV sales rose by 36 per cent in February, with 2,524 units registered. Why EV safety training is crucial<\/strong> Most critically, EVs operate on high-voltage systems (often over 400V). These can pose serious safety risks if managed incorrectly \u2014 even during something as routine as a tyre change.<\/p>\n Components are often tightly integrated with the vehicle\u2019s structure, and damaging a lithium-ion battery can trigger a thermal runaway, leading to fire or even explosion.<\/p>\n On top of that, special tools and procedures are required, including non-conductive tools and insulated gloves when working near high-voltage components.
