<\/p>\nWebfleet, Bridgestone\u2019s fleet management solution, is expanding its OEM.connect partner programme to trailers.<\/p>\n
The first trailer manufacturer joining the OEM.connect programme is Schmitz Cargobull, a leading manufacturer of semi-trailers for temperature-controlled freight, general cargo and bulk goods in Europe.<\/p>\n
Commercial fleet operators can now easily connect Schmitz Cargobull trailers with Webfleet via factory fitted telematics, eliminating the need for aftermarket hardware installations. This way they can access powerful trailer data to boost trailer utilisation, reduce downtime and improve overall safety and security.<\/p>\n
The integrated solution is now available to European Webfleet customers. Webfleet says it intends to expand the programme to include trailers from more manufacturers in the near future.<\/p>\n

Commercial fleet operators can connect their trailers to the Webfleet platform easily via the Schmitz Cargobull TrailerConnect telematics portal with their VIN number.<\/p>\n
By utilising the factory-fitted telematics, Webfleet says there is no need to install any additional hardware, which is saving costs and time.
