<\/p>\nBridgestone Ireland recently joined with S Tyres in Cork to celebrate its 50th business anniversary. Best known for its Bandag retreads the company also retails Bridgestone car and truck tyres.<\/p>\n
Bridgestone has a long relationship with S Tyres but it strengthened after the company\u2019s acquisition of Bandag in 2006 and the start of Bridgestone\u2019s work with the national bus fleet.<\/p>\n
Bridgestone now works closely with S Tyres to supply retreaded Bridgestone casings for the Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann national bus fleets.<\/p>\n

Bridgestone EMEA\u2019s Waqqas Ahmad, director commercial replacement & OE made a special presentation to S Tyres at an event to mark the anniversary. He was joined by the North Region\u2019s commercial director, David Almazan, and Mike Howling who leads the Bridgestone retread program in the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n

The company is situated in a historic motor industry area in Cork City close to where Henry Ford opened his first manufacturing plant outside the USA.
