{"id":37707,"date":"2024-08-20T15:51:24","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T14:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=37707"},"modified":"2024-08-21T15:56:12","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T14:56:12","slug":"yokohama-shod-mercedes-amg-gt3-tops-round-4-of-nls","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/yokohama-shod-mercedes-amg-gt3-tops-round-4-of-nls\/37707","title":{"rendered":"Yokohama-shod Mercedes-AMG GT3 tops Round 4 of NLS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Yokohama-shod Mercedes-AMG GT3 was the overall winner of Round 4 of the 2024 N\u00fcrburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) held in Germany earlier this month.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The winning #9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 entered in the highest SP9 Pro class by Team ADVAN\u00d7HRT, and driven by Salman Owega, David Schumacher and Hubert Haupt.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37708 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/2024081915ms001_2_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"495\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/2024081915ms001_2_1.jpg 495w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/2024081915ms001_2_1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/2024081915ms001_2_1-120x80.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After they finished third in the qualifier, the race was interrupted for nearly two hours due to an accident caused by rain at the start of the race.<\/p>\n<p>Upon resumption, the #9 Mercedes-AMG GT3 started as leader, after that, they received a penalty and dropped back, but at the completion of 10 laps, they were in the lead again and took the checkered flag about three and a half minutes ahead of the second placed car.<\/p>\n<p>Team ADVAN\u00d7HRT\u2019s #6 Mercedes-AMG GT3, which also entered the SP9 Pro class, took second place in the qualifier, but dropped out of the final race due to an accident during the qualifier.<\/p>\n<p>This season, Yokohama Rubber concluded a partnership agreement with the Haupt Racing Team, a Mercedes-AMG customer racing team, and has supplied the team with ADVAN A005 tyres for dry conditions and ADVAN A006 tyres for wet conditions for their two Mercedes-AMG GT3 cars since the third NLS race.<\/p>\n<p>The NLS is an endurance race series run on the N\u00fcrburgring race track, widely considered one of the world\u2019s most demanding courses. Six NLS races are scheduled for this year, running until November.
