Bandvulc is increasing the range of sizes for its fifth-generation BD5 ultra-high mileage drive tyre, which is now available in 315\/80.<\/p>\n

Engineered with long-haul operators in mind, the BD5 combines the latest in innovation and design, according to the Continental-owned brand.<\/p>\n

The result is a dependable, high-performing retread tyre that boasts outstanding sustainability credentials, the company adds.<\/p>\n

To maximise the BD5\u2019s useable lifespan, Bandvulc utilises a purpose-formulated Long-Life Tread+ rubber compound. Its hard-wearing and thermal-resistant properties help customers maximise vehicle uptime and reduce routine service costs.<\/p>\n

In independent trials commissioned by Bandvulc, the BD5 tyre was proven to deliver a 40 per cent increase in lifetime mileage when compared to the older BD08, which it replaced.<\/p>\n

The BD5 also commands greater driving dynamics than its predecessor, thanks in part to a completely redesigned directional tread pattern.<\/p>\n

Through extensive testing and refinement during the development process, Bandvulc says it was able to achieve superior wet and dry handling, higher levels of real-world grip and exceptional water dispersion and stone ejection. Every BD5 is certified 3PMSF.<\/p>\n

Tony Mailling, head of hot retread production EMEA and ContiLifeCycle plant manager, said: \u201cIt has always been our intention to grow the range of fitments available for the BD5 tyre and with its increased popularity are pleased to launch the second size.<\/p>\n
