<\/p>\nIt’s a double tyre test win for Continental, as the PremiumContact 7 received first place in the Tyre Reviews\u2019 2023 Summer Tyre Test and Auto Express Best Touring Tyre Test.<\/p>\n
The PremiumContact 7 is the seventh generation of the multi award-winning PremiumContact range. For the new summer tyre, Continental says it introduced leading technologies such as a size-specific design, innovative RedChili compound for the tread and an adaptive tread design.<\/p>\n
Both Tyre Reviews and Auto Express tested the PremiumContact 7 on a Volkswagen Golf in tyre size 205\/55 R16.<\/p>\n

Jonathan Benson of Tyre Reviews said: \u201cOnce again Continental have dropped a new tyre to the market, and seriously moved the game on, most noticeably in the wet. Last year it was the SportContact 7, this year it’s the PremiumContact 7.\u201d<\/p>\n
Steve Fowler, editor-in-chief of Auto Express added: “The Continental PremiumContact 7 is an exceptional tyre. Rarely do we see a new tyre that is so far ahead of its rivals, but the new PremiumContact 7 excelled in all our key tests, especially around handling and braking. It really does set a new gold standard – we were hugely impressed.”<\/p>\n
The adaptable tread design of the PremiumContact 7 ensures even greater stability and ride comfort on both wet and dry roads.<\/p>\n
Internal comparison testing performed by Continental showed wet handling has improved by five per cent and wet braking by as much as seven per cent when tested against its predecessor, the PremiumContact 6.<\/p>\n
