Avon Tyres will be the official tyre supplier to the Swedish GT Series, further boosting the brand\u2019s motorsport involvement.<\/p>\n
Established in 2010, the Swedish GT Series will be run by promoter Leif Lindstr\u00f6m Promotion AB.<\/p>\n
The six-round Swedish championship will be split into the following classes: GT3 class, GTA for newer cup cars such as Porsche, Ferrari and older GT3 cars (up to 2008), and GTB class, which welcomes SRO-approved GT4 machinery and older cup cars.<\/p>\n
Avon Tyres will supply tyres to all three categories, as it continues to expand its motorsport activity across Europe.<\/p>\n
The new partnership with the SRO organisation will also add an international edge to the series for the forthcoming season, as a round of the re-launched GT4 European Cup, also running on Avon, will coincide with the Anderstorp meeting of the Swedish GT Series.<\/p>\n
