<\/p>\nNorthern Ireland\u2019s public transport provider Translink is completing the full fleet roll-out of Wheely-Safe\u2019s latest generation technology.<\/p>\n
The business is equipping its entire 1,400-strong bus and coach fleet with the in-motion wheel loss detection system, which combines brake and hub temperature monitoring with an intelligent tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).<\/p>\n

\u201cProtecting our customers, employees and vehicles with Wheely-Safe\u2019s technology is another important part of our ongoing process to install industry-leading health and safety standards across our fleet.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe completed a thorough trial before securing the order which confirmed all the positive reports we had previously heard about the product. Having one system in place that alerts our drivers to a drop in tyre pressure, brake or hub overheating or a wheel nut loosening gives us real peace of mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
Translink has installed Wheely-Safe\u2019s external TPMS sensors, which replace the valve cap and auto-pair with an in-cab solar receiver. These are fitted alongside a pair of wheel loss sensors on each wheel. <\/p>\n
Diagnostic software built into the receiver lets the business know all sensors are working and paired correctly.<\/p>\n
