{"id":28745,"date":"2020-12-09T12:10:44","date_gmt":"2020-12-09T11:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=28745"},"modified":"2020-12-09T16:43:44","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T15:43:44","slug":"new-patch-it-repair-patches-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/new-patch-it-repair-patches-launched\/28745","title":{"rendered":"New Patch IT repair patches launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"western\">Patch Tyre Equipment has launched a new nano-composite repair patch on the Irish market \u2013 Patch IT.\u00a0 <!--more-->The Patch IT self-adhesive repair patch, which has been on trial in Ireland for the past three months cuts out the need for cement, and significantly reduces repair time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-28746 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"636\" height=\"303\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT.jpg 636w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 636px) 100vw, 636px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Brian Matthews of Patch Tyre Equipment says he first came across the technology in Australia and New Zealand, before trialling it in Ireland earlier in the year.<\/p>\n<p>Patch IT solves the problem of patches lifting at the edges, which is common place with conventional patches on the market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">Brian, who has been in the business for nearly 30 years, told Tyretrade.ie: \u201cPatch IT can be used on Car, Van and 4&#215;4 tyres. All the operator has to do is remove the nail from the tyre, buff the area to be repaired, take the foil off the patch, and press it into place with thumb pressure.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-28747 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-2-300x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"270\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-2-300x270.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-2-1024x922.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-2-768x691.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Patch-IT-2.jpg 1173w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">\u201cThere is no waiting around waiting for cement to dry, which means there&#8217;s no delay in carrying out the repair.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">He added: \u201cThe nano-composite material is very flexible and fills the affected area, as part of the repair process.
