Edwin van der Stad has been appointed vice president OE Europe at Nexen Tire.<\/p>\n

The Dutchman, who was appointed in March, brings more than 30 years of industry experience and many years of experience in OE management to the Korean tyre maker.<\/p>\n

Van der Stad joins Nexen from Bridgestone, where he was head of OEMs advanced technologies & solutions, head of public affairs and S&R Central Europe.<\/p>\n

Nexen says he will be responsible for driving the firm’s expansion plans and expand original equipment business in Europe.<\/p>\n

Nexen’s new tyre plant in the Czech Republic is also part of its growth strategy in the European original equipment and replacement market.<\/p>\n
