The twenty-two year old suffered the severest blow of his career in June when his best friend and former co-driver, Gareth Roberts, was killed in an accident on IRC Rally, Targa Florio.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2537 aligncenter\" title=\"Craig-Breen-Rallying---2012-SWRC-Winning-Team-copy2\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Craig-Breen-Rallying-2012-SWRC-Winning-Team-copy2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Craig-Breen-Rallying-2012-SWRC-Winning-Team-copy2.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Craig-Breen-Rallying-2012-SWRC-Winning-Team-copy2-120x80.jpg 120w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/Craig-Breen-Rallying-2012-SWRC-Winning-Team-copy2-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Waterford driver made a comeback on World Rally Finland in August and on the closing three SWRC rounds (Wales Rally Gb, World Rally France and World Rally Spain) of the season stamped his authority on the championship claiming a hat trick of wins.
