{"id":2340,"date":"2012-10-31T11:16:40","date_gmt":"2012-10-31T10:16:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=2340"},"modified":"2012-10-31T11:16:40","modified_gmt":"2012-10-31T10:16:40","slug":"fleets-urged-to-fit-efficient-tyres","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/fleets-urged-to-fit-efficient-tyres\/2340","title":{"rendered":"Fleets urged to fit efficient tyres"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UK businesses could reduce fuel costs by up to \u00a3500 million per year if they fitted more fuel efficient tyres on their company vehicles, according to new research by the Energy Saving Trust.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The news comes on the eve of new EU legislation \u2013 which comes into force on Thursday, November 1.<\/p>\n<p>The legislation requires all tyres on sale in Europe to display a label indicating their rating on three criteria: grip in wet conditions, external noise and fuel efficiency.
