<\/p>\nYokohama will participate at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show.<\/p>\n
The 89th edition of the show will be held during March 7-17, with press days on March 5-6.<\/p>\n

As in 2018, the Yokohama booth will include presentations related to the Company\u2019s consumer tyre strategy in its current three-year medium-term plan, \u201cGrand Design 2020 (GD2020)\u201d, which was implemented from 2018. Many new tyre products will be on display, and a press conference introducing the new products is scheduled to be held at the Yokohama booth (Hall 4, Booth No. 4231) on March 5 from 15:45.<\/p>\n
To further promote the awareness of Yokohama\u2019s presence in the premium tyre market, a key theme of GD2020\u2019s consumer tyre strategy, this year\u2019s booth at Geneva will feature exhibits highlighting the plan\u2019s strategies for premium car tyres, winter tyres, and hobby tyres.<\/p>\n
The premium-car strategy exhibit will introduce the Yokohama Rubber\u2019s track record as a supplier of original equipment (OE) tyres for many of the world\u2019s premium car models. The display will include the \u201cAdvan Sport V105\u201d, Yokohama’s flagship tyre for high-power premium cars.<\/p>\n
The winter-tyre strategy exhibit will display several tyres from Yokohama\u2019s diverse winter-tyre lineup, including the \u201cBluEarth-4S AW21\u201d, an all-season tyre for the European passenger car market; \u201ciceGUARD iG60\u201d, a passenger-car studless tyre that achieves the highest performance levels of any studless ever produced by Yokohama; and the \u201cBluEarth\uff0aWinter V905\u201d, a highly fuel-efficient winter tyre for passenger car and SUVs.<\/p>\n
The hobby tyre strategy exhibit will include new street sports tyres that will be sold only in Europe. The hobby tyre area also will feature a mud-terrain tyre for SUVs and pickup trucks making its debut on the European scene, and other products that enhance a vehicle\u2019s image as a hobby car, including some new products targeted at historic car owners. In addition, visitors to the exhibit will be able to see a Nissan GT-R outfitted with \u201cAdvan A052\u201d street sport tyres, one of the core tyres in the Company\u2019s hobby tyre strategy.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s Yokohama booth at Geneva will also feature special corners that introduce visitors to Yokohama\u2019s involvement in the FIA World Touring Car Cup (WTCR) as supplier of control tyres for the races and the Company\u2019s partnership with English Premier League team, Chelsea FC. An additional highlight of Yokohama\u2019s participation at the Geneva Motor Show will be the attendance of Chelsea Legend Didier Drogba. Drogba will take part in a fan Q&A at the Yokohama booth on Friday, March 8, discussing his time at Chelsea and role as a Yokohama ambassador.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
