For the tenth consecutive year Maxxis features on Interbrand\u2019s list of Taiwan\u2019s top 20 global brands. Maxxis is ranked ninth on the 2012 list and has been listed among the top ten in this prestigious ranking since 2003, the first year that Interbrand published the list.<\/p>\n
As in every previous year, Maxxis was the only tyre company to make the list. Calling Maxxis \u201ca well-known tyre brand around the world,\u201d Interbrand said that Maxxis is \u201cperceived to be the tyre brand with the highest cost-benefit ratio.\u201d Among the other factors cited in explaining Maxxis\u2019 place on this year\u2019s list was a strong production output, despite a global recession and the rising cost of raw materials. Interbrand also noted that the brand \u201chas benefited from increasing demand from emerging countries such as India, the Middle East, Brazil and China\u201d and highlighted Maxxis\u2019 appointment as a global tyre supplier to GM, Nissan and TATA Motors in support of the
\ncompany\u2019s ranking.<\/p>\n
In evaluating Taiwan-based companies, Interbrand relies on a financial analysis which measures overall return to an organisation\u2019s investors; Role of Brand, the percentage of purchases which can be attributed to the brand; and a Brand Strength Score, which measures the ability of a brand to create loyalty, demand and profit.
