<\/p>\nThe 2015 Isle of Man TT has been one of the most successful ever, with amazing racing, fantastic stories, and (after a stormy start) great weather. And it’s been a superb week for Avon, in both the solo and, particularly, the sidecar races.<\/p>\n

Avon\u2019s cross-ply racing slicks, which have been the top choice in sidecar competition in recent years, helped our teams complete a clean sweep of the podium places in both races.<\/p>\n
The all-conquering Birchall brothers, Ben and Tom, on their LCR Honda, came to the Island hoping for success, after a serious crash at the TT last year. Their confidence was rewarded in spades. The Mansfield brothers won the Sure Sidecar race one by 25 seconds ahead of John Holden and Dan Sayle (also on Avons) in second, and Conrad Harrison and Mike Aylott in third, rounding out an all-Avon winners\u2019 enclosure.<\/p>\n
Birchall Racing swept to a second victory on Wednesday afternoon, winning by seven seconds in a new race record time of 58:24.971 \u2013 just under an hour to complete three laps of the 37.73 mile course. Dave Molyneux and Ben Binns broke the lap record which has been held by Nick Crowe since 2008, completing their last lap in a speed of 116.785mph.<\/p>\n
Steve Smith, Sales Manager \u2013 Motorcycle, Avon Tyres Motorsport, said, \u201cThis TT has been intense with the storms in practice week that nearly blew us away leaving the teams very little practice time. When they did get to race the pace was incredible with the top three teams all lapping in the 116 mph bracket. Looking further down the results sheet there were some great rides and our tyres performed well in this most extreme of races.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n
