{"id":10766,"date":"2015-03-13T17:04:32","date_gmt":"2015-03-13T16:04:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/?p=10766"},"modified":"2015-03-13T17:04:32","modified_gmt":"2015-03-13T16:04:32","slug":"michelin-unveils-innovative-concept-tyre-featuring-new-tread-pattern","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/index.php\/michelin-unveils-innovative-concept-tyre-featuring-new-tread-pattern\/10766","title":{"rendered":"Michelin unveils innovative concept tyre featuring new tread pattern"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Farmers of the future could be specifying tyres with original tread patterns, following the unveiling of what might become the next generation of agricultural tyres from Michelin.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10769\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Michelin-VF-concept-.jpg\" alt=\"Michelin\" width=\"300\" height=\"443\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Michelin-VF-concept-.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tyretrade.ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Michelin-VF-concept--203x300.jpg 203w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>The LIFEBIB VF 710\/70 R42 concept tyre stands out for featuring a tyre pattern in the shape of an ear of wheat, presenting an alternative to the traditional V-shaped or herringbone-shaped tread which is familiar on farm machinery all over the world.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing its inspiration from nature, the tyre\u2019s unique tread pattern is a celebration of the life cycle, and emphasises how the Michelin Ultraflex range can be used throughout the entire crop cycle, from the sowing to the harvesting of the product.<\/p>\n<p>The wheat concept features a central rigid rubber block formed by the wheat grains, as well as side tapering for maximum precision, guidance and traction.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Lawton, Commercial Director of Michelin\u2019s agricultural tyre division in the UK, Ireland and Nordics says: \u201cChanging needs, practices and uses push us to continually innovate. Farmers of the future face the substantial challenge of feeding ever increasing populations with less arable land available to them.
