Fowler Welch has undertaken a National Road Safety Week Campaign to draw to the attention of drivers and operators the importance of tyre safety and how to identify any areas of concern. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s important that all of us in the transport industry recognise that our expensive tractors and trailers only have one contact area with the road surface, and that\u2019s through the tyres; it\u2019s no different to an airline pilot in an Airbus A380 \u2013 just as important and necessary. Regular daily checks on the condition of a vehicle\u2019s tyres is an essential part of everyone\u2019s routine\u201d, comments Phil West, Commercial Director, Bandvulc Group. <\/p>\n
Both campaigns focus on bringing tyres and their condition to the fore, helping users to spot check and identify any areas of concern. Nick Hay, MD Fowler Welch said, \u201cIf just one accident is avoided then all the effort put in to the week will have been worth it, although I do believe the impact to be far greater\u201d. <\/p>\n
