Tyre performance that steers to 196,522km

Tom Finn, Business Development Manager, at Heffernan Tyrest tells us that they just removed a set of Pirelli 385/65R22.5 FR:01 Steer tyres after an incredible 196,522km – with 6mm of tread still remaining.
He added that they only had to replace them due to sidewall cuts so the next set should easily exceed 200,000km.

He rightly proclaims it as a brilliant result for Prometeon Tyre Group and the customer, especially considering timber haulage can be notoriously hard on tyres.

Tom said that this kind of mileage is a clear reminder of the value of: a quality tyre choice, good tyre maintenance, and regular performance monitoring.

He boasts that this is a big result from a premium product!

In Ireland, Prometeon Tyre Group states that it is achieving “significant growth” through its partnership with Heffernan Tyres, which began in 2020.

The Italian tyre brand says the introduction of its new Prometeon-branded tyres is marking a new chapter in the company’s commitment to the Irish market.

Steve Tift said the companies’ relationship has helped to establish a 5 per cent market share Ireland, attributing Heffernan Tyres’ “determination and experience” as “a major contributor to this success.”

The relationship has evolved after beginning with truck and bus tyres to add agricultural tyres and OTR product groups. Diversifying has helped to strengthen Heffernan’s position as the brand’s exclusive distributor, building a foundation for future growth.
