Triangle Tyre to build Cambodia manufacturing plant

Triangle Tyre Co., Ltd., represented in Ireland by Euro Tyre Sales, has approved an investment of RMB 3.219 billion (c. 460m USD / €396m) for the construction of a new production plant in Cambodia.

The new facility will be located in the Svay Rieng Province of Cambodia, with construction expected to begin this March and a planned construction period of around 17 months.

It will be Triangle Tyre’s first manufacturing plant outside of its home country of China.

Triangle Tyre said the Cambodia site will have an annual production capacity of six million passenger car radial (PCR) tyres and one million truck and bus radial (TBR) tyres.

The Cambodian production base will serve Europe, North America, the Middle East & Africa and Southeast Asia, regions where Triangle Tyre has established a strong commercial presence and long-standing customer relationships.

According to Triangle Tyre, Cambodia’s “competitive industrial conditions and proximity to key raw material sources”, makes the country “a strategic location” to support the company’s “global ambitions”.

The project aligns with Triangle Tyre’s long-term global development strategy, aimed at “enhancing manufacturing flexibility, optimising supply chains and supporting sustainable growth in key international markets”.

Corrado Moglia, general manager of Triangle Tyre Europe, said the investment “represents a decisive step in Triangle Tyre’s global industrial strategy and sends a very clear message to the European market”.

“Strengthening our manufacturing footprint outside China allows us to further enhance supply chain stability, operational flexibility and long-term competitiveness.

“For our European partners and customers, this project reinforces Triangle Tyre’s commitment to being a reliable, forward-looking manufacturer with a truly global vision, capable of supporting sustainable growth and consistently high product standards,” Moglia added.
