Sailun building €230m tyre plant in Indonesia
Sailun Group is set to build a new tyre manufacturing plant in Indonesia, as part of an investment of around €230 million.
According to the Chinese tyre maker, this new plant forms a “pivotal” part of its broader overseas expansion strategy.
Once operational, the facility is projected to boast a substantial production capacity, with the capability to manufacture over three million passenger car radial (PCR) tyres, 600,000 all-steel radials and 37,000 tonnes of off-the-road (OTR) tyres annually.
The new Indonesia site will be located in Demak within the Central Java province, with construction expected to take a total of 21 months, Sailun Group said.
