Prinx Chengshan produces its first 51-inch OTR tyre

Prinx Chengshan, the manufacturer of Austone Tires which is distributed in Ireland by Euro Tyre Sales, has produced its first 30.00R51 off-the-road tyre.

Rolling-off the production line at its Shangdong facility in China, the newly manufactured OTR tyre is almost three-metres in diameter and weighs 1,800kg.

It has been specifically engineered for extra-large dump trucks operating in open-pit mining area, which sometimes carry loads over 120-tonnes.

Featuring a wide and deep lateral tread groove, Prinx Chengshan says the tyre delivers exceptional traction and grip under the complex and harsh working conditions of mining sites, ensuring precise, stable, and safe handling during heavy-load transportation.

The innovative shoulder cooling groove, combined with the shoulder groove, promotes effective heat dissipation, thereby mitigating core safety risks such as tyre blowouts and delamination.

According to Prinx Chengshan, the development of this 51-inch OTR tyre is of great significance for the company to improve its high-end product portfolio and fill the gap in the domestic high-end off-the-road tyre sector.
