PCL reports excellent Auto Trade EXPO feedback

PCL has reported excellent feedback and an award nomination from the recent Auto Trade EXPO at Citywest Conference Centre, Dublin.

As a showcase for products aimed at mechanics, technicians and apprentices from independent garages and main dealerships; and attracting buyers from workshops, garages, transport companies, bodyshops, tyre centres and motor factors; the show was the perfect platform for PCL’s tyre inflation and air tool portfolio.

A host of automotive end user visitors from all over Ireland and overseas attended the event, keeping the PCL team busy throughout the show.

PCL’s Olly Shortland said: “PCL’s strong brand name and reputation for designing and manufacturing high-end products drew a lot of interest from both new and existing customers.”

“The stand was buzzing with interest in the high end Nitrogen generator and built-in inflator range, the new forecourt air tower design with coin-op facility, and the ever-popular air tool range, including the most popular tool over the 2 days – the new half inch cordless 18v lithium Ion, duel battery impact wrench.”

At the end of the weekend show, PCL attended the 2014 Auto Trade Awards dinner – designed to credit the best suppliers in the industry as nominated by their peers – and were delighted to receive a nomination for a prestigious award.

“Auto Trade was a great success and we thoroughly enjoyed exhibiting there, the Irish are extremely hospitable and the visitors were enthusiastic and friendly,” said PCL’s Gareth McGuigan.

“It was well attended by end users who were keen to know that we still manufacture in Sheffield, so it was good to talk and reassure them. It was also a great opportunity to guide customers towards our local distributors, who took substantial direct orders of our products.

“Overall the exhibition underlined how established the PCL brand is in Ireland and the work that’s been done over the last ten years. It definitely shows that we are a strong player on the market.”
