Nokian Tyres Seasonproof 2 crowned all-season tyre of the year

The Seasonproof 2 from Nokian Tyres has been crowned WhatTyre’s All-Season Tire of the Year 2025 in the categories of All-Season Passenger Car Tires and All-Season SUV Tires.

The WhatTyre Awards are designed to help drivers across Europe choose the best tyres by combining data-driven insights with independent expert reviews. Using their tyre score algorithm, European magazine tests, ESG ratings, and independent judging, WhatTyre identifies the very best in performance, safety, and sustainability.

In a highly competitive field, the Nokian Tyres Seasonproof 2 rose to the top, finishing first out of 10 passenger car tyres, and first out of seven SUV tyres tested.

In the SUV test, the Seasonproof 2 achieved a Tyrescore of 8.94, praised for “exemplary snow handling, A-rated wet grip, and improved rolling resistance for better fuel efficiency”.

In the passenger car equivalent, the Seasonproof 2 delivered top results across wet, snow, and aquaplaning tests, combining “safety and year-round reliability with sustainability at its core”.

Nokian Tyres said the judges were very impressed with the Seasonproof 2 and have agreed that the improvements that the manufacturer has made over the past 12 months are “commendable and highly deserve” to take the crown for both of its all-season categories.
