Nexen Tire OE for new BMW iX3

Nexen Tire has received original equipment approval from BMW Group for its N’Fera Sport tyre to be fitted to the new BMW iX3.

According to Nexen Tire, the N’Fera Sport tyre provides excellent dry, wet and handling performance thanks to several important design features, such as a wider longitudinal groove for improved drainage performance in wet conditions and a block design for excellent dry and wet handing performance at high speed.

The tyre also incorporates the latest tread compound to enhance grip and braking performance, while the sidewall reinforcements maximize stability at high speeds, delivering outstanding handling and stability during cornering.

Over the years, Nexen Tire says it has consistently expanded its supply of original equipment (OE) tyres to global automakers, and this latest partnership with a premium automaker further highlights its growing brand recognition in the industry.

Since initiating OE business with global manufacturers in 2012, the company has rapidly broadened its partnerships, and now supplies tyres to leading brands such as BMW Group.

Nexen Tire said this achievement is due to its continuous investment in R&D, which has led to the development of superior products utilising advanced technologies. Most recently, the company became the first in Korea’s tyre industry to adopt a high dynamic driving simulator, enabling the development of next-generation virtual tyres.

Nexen Tire has further enhanced its manufacturing competitiveness by implementing an AI-based automated inspection system to increase precision in product quality control. The company is continuing to integrate AI and virtual reality (VR) technologies throughout product development and production and has plans to strengthen partnerships with global automakers.
