Modern Tyre Service to distribute Kumho tyres throughout Ireland

Kumho Tyre (UK) Ltd (KTUK) has appointed Modern Tyre Service to distribute its Kumho products in the Republic of Ireland as well as Northern Ireland, where it has enjoyed notable success with the brand for the last 12 years. Dublin-based Kings Road Tyres will provide the same role for the Korean company’s Marshal brand tyres (further details of which will be announced shortly).

Modern will hold comprehensive stocks of Kumho car, van and 4×4 tyres, as well as some light and heavy truck products. For sales purposes, the island will be split into three, with Paul Colhoun servicing the top third, Ashley Fannin the middle sector and Gary McDermott the lower portion.

In addition, Paul Kelly will have responsibility for the greater Dublin area. All distribution within the Republic will be co-ordinated via Modern’s sister company, D26 Tire Co. (so-called because it covers all of the region’s 26 counties).
