Kumho Tyre wins tendering for Autocross 2016-2018

In July, Kumho Tyrehas been confirmed as the official tyre supplier for the Autocross series 2016-2018 by the French Automobile Sport Association FFSA.

For the upcoming two years Kumho Tyre will equip the model series Super Buggy, Buggy Maxi 1600 as well as Tourisme and Tourism Cup et Buggy. Within the series tyres to be deployed are the models R800 and 900th. By serving as the official supplier of this model range, Kumho continues its commitment within the Autocross series.

Equipped with Kumho tyres, the French driver Johnny Feuillade only recently brought France the first place in an European Championship race in Nova Paka, Czech Republic – a win France had been waiting for over 21 years. Belonging to the Buggy Class 1600, Feuillade’s Alfa Racing Suzuki was racing with tyres of the dimension 185/7013 R800, which is the combination provided by Kumho for the following two years.

In addition to the Auto GP, Dodge Viper and other motorsports engagements, the Autocross series is another example for the relation between the Korean tyre manufacturer and high-performance applications, where success depends on the right rubber compound as a guarantee for the perfect grip.
