Howe new chair of British Tyre Manufacturers’ Association

John Howe, managing director of Michelin Tyre UK & Ireland, has been elected as the new chair of the British Tyre Manufacturers’ Association (BTMA).

He takes over from Jamie Stevens of Goodyear, who steps down to take on the role of vice-chair on a temporary basis.

Howe’s career began in the warehouse at Solideal UK and progressed through senior leadership roles across Solideal International, Camoplast, Camso, and ultimately Michelin, where he has held a range of strategic positions spanning global business development, sales, and market strategy in the agriculture, construction, and materials handling sectors.

Howe currently leads Michelin’s B2C operations for car, motorcycle, and bicycle markets across the UK and Ireland.
