Hankook Tyre UK sponsors air ambulance open day

Hankook Tyre UK is sponsoring an open day to celebrate 20 years of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance which is being held on 4th August.

The partnership between Hankook and The Air Ambulance Service – which operates the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance – was established in 2017 when Hankook donated the first set of tyres for the charity’s rapid response Critical Care Cars.

As the charity’s helicopters are not flown in darkness or in extreme weather conditions, the good local road network and clearer roads overnight mean the Critical Care Cars are able to continue their lifesaving service round the clock, 365 days a year.

To date, Hankook has donated more than 100 tyres to the charity.

The cars are fitted with Hankook’s award winning Ventus S1evo 3 SUV tyres which have an excellent performance rating on both wet and dry roads as well as high driving stability and steering precision.

Hankook will be exhibiting at the open day with a Critical Care Car that benefits from the donated tyres on show.

Other tyres on display will be the Kinery 4S2, 2023 winner of the Auto Express All Season Tyre of the Year, and the new premium iON evo tyre, specifically designed for electric vehicles.
