GT Radial expands winter tyre portfolio

GT Radial’s winter tyre portfolio has been enhanced by the launch of the Champiro WinterPro HP, a new flagship product ranging from 16″ to 20″ wheel diameters, including dedicated SUV sizes.

Designed specifically for European markets, the tyre’s development has focused on mid-to-large high-performance cars which will encounter the full remit of road conditions at low temperatures.

Produced using a sunflower oil-enriched compound that maintains the elasticity of the rubber at low temperatures and utilising an asymmetrical tread design, outer blocks provide good dry and cornering properties while the inner block area provides extra grip in wet and snow conditions.

In addition three wide circumferential grooves evacuate water, slush and packed snow while maintaining maximum contact with the road surface, a unique rib groove effectively disperses water and debris in all weather conditions and multiple sipes create extra snow and ice traction.

The WinterPro HP is available from 195/55R16 to 275/40R20 XL, with speed ratings from H to V and aspect ratios from 40 to 65 series.

Along with the Champiro WinterPro, which ranges from 145/80R13 to 225/55R16, the brand now covers the majority of sizes of automotive cold weather tyres.
