Goodyear Farm Tires to present Carlstar in Cologne following $296m acquisition
Goodyear Farm Tires will welcome the newest addition to the Titan International portfolio to its stand at The Tire in Cologne this week.
Titan International has completed the acquisition of Carlstar Group LLC, a global manufacturer and distributor of speciality tyres and wheels, in a $296 million purchase.
Representatives of Carlstar will be present to talk through the product offering and answer queries from visitors to the Goodyear Farm Tires stand for the three-day spectacle in Germany.
Carlstar offers tyres and wheels for a variety of applications including outdoor power equipment, trailers, turf and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).

Lindsay Hart, sales director for Goodyear Farm Tires Europe, said: “The acquisition of Carlstar by Titan International is an exciting development and expands the product portfolio available to our customers and distributors.
“Alongside our Low Sidewall Technology and wider Goodyear Farm Tires offering, we have a versatile and high-performance range which can ensure we are a ‘one-stop shop’ for our customers.
“We look forward to welcoming members of the Carlstar team to our stand at The Tire and allowing visitors to the show to learn more about how we have developed the Goodyear Farm Tires proposition in the five years since returning to the European market and find out more about our new products available through Carlstar.”
The Tire Cologne will also see Goodyear Farm Tires display its innovative and flagship Low Sidewall (LSW) range, fresh from opening a new Technology Development Centre in France in April which makes the products more accessible to the European market.
The LSW assemblies which will be on display have proved a huge success for farmers across the world. Operating at up to 40 per cent lower inflation pressures than standard tyres, they provide increased crop yield thanks to reduced soil compaction.
Featuring a larger rim diameter and smaller sidewall than a conventional tyre, the LSW possesses exceptional flotation properties, enabling easier travel on wet soil as well as reduced power hop and greater stability, which minimises road lope.
Previously, all production and assembly of LSW products took place in the USA but the launch of the new Technology Development Centre in France means they will now be delivered to European countries at a faster pace and with greater flexibility.
