Falken winter tyres to be tested at new SRI test track in Sweden

Falken’s winter tyres will be tested in Arnemark, Sweden from now on, when Sumitomo Rubber Europe GmbH (SREU) opens a new winter test track.

The northern test track comprises two groomed snow areas, each approximately 15,000m2, which is around three times the size of a football pitch, two 1,600m snow handling courses and a 600m ice handling track.

In cooperation with the Finnish engineers at BD Testing, Falken’s winter tyres intended for the European replacement business and the OE market will be amongst those put through their paces on the demanding course throughout the entire winter season.

Test engineers, including those from SREU’s test team, will be on site from December to March to evaluate newly developed tyres on the most common medium and premium vehicles under extreme conditions of snow and ice.
