Falken expands 4×4 lineup with Wildpeak R/T01

Falken Tyre Europe is expanding its 4×4 tyre portfolio with the launch of the Wildpeak R/T01 for demanding terrain – ensuring the manufacturer now has a tyre for every off-road application.

Engineered with adventure in mind – and across the toughest of applications – Falken says the R/T01’s tread design and structure are intended to provide maximum performance on the most difficult terrain.

Available from Q1 2024, the new Wildpeak R/T01 will initially be offered in nine different sizes – ranging from 16 to 20 inches – with a ‘Q’ speed rating.

Given its intention as a professional off-road tyre (POR), the Wildpeak R/T01 has no further EU tyre label designation.

The new tread blends the key attributes of Falken’s All-Terrain (A/T) and Mud-Terrain (M/T) versions, resulting in the ideal combination of traction, durability, and longevity for all-wheel drive vehicles in extreme applications.

The Wildpeak R/T01 pattern is packed with features to inspire confidence whilst tackling the most difficult driving routes at the same time as delivering low wear rates and high durability, according to the manufacturer.

The hybrid off-road tread pattern shares similarities with the Wildpeak A/T and features a large contact area and stiff tread blocks for maximum mileage reliability, on-road performance and off-road ruggedness.

In terms of M/T capabilities, the Wildpeak R/T01 is not only well suited for traversing muddy ground thanks to its open shoulder tread design, but is also well equipped for stones. The excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread provide the ultimate defence against mud and rocks – ensuring the best grip and superior traction. The three-layer sidewall provides the required cut resistance, robustness and additional protection to provide maximum grip when it’s needed the most.
