Davanti Protoura Race dominates 10 Horas Ecuador

Davanti’s Protoura Race tyres made their mark in Ecuador during the 10 Horas Ecuador (10 Hours of Ecuador) – a major annual endurance motor racing event.

Held at the Autódromo José Tobar in Yahuarcocha, Ibarra, Ecuador, the endurance race featured national and international drivers competing on Davanti Protoura Race tyres. Out of 78 teams, 58 were fitted with Protoura Race across four different categories.

This partnership marks a three-year deal with FEDAK (Ecuadorian Automobile and Karting Federation) to be the tyre supplier for the National Circuit Championship of Ecuador. The agreement has been led by Davanti’s Ecuadorian customer, Llantas 247, making Protoura Race the official tyre for the National Championship – meaning drivers across all applicable categories will drive on Davanti Protoura Race tyres.

This has secured the supply of Davanti Protoura Race tyres within the territory for at least the next three years, a positive step for the Davanti brand in cementing its presence as a key market player in Ecuador.

During the event, Davanti’s brand visibility was at an all-time high, with prominent branding displayed throughout the circuit, reaching trackside spectators, a national television audience, and local digital channel broadcasts. Llantas 247 further amplified Davanti’s presence by organising a dedicated stand at the paddock entrance and provided a mobile workshop offering free mounting and balancing, making Davanti the central hub for competing teams.

Federico Diaz, Davanti International sales & marketing executive for Latin America, commented: “The Protoura Race’s performance on the track and technical feedback was consistently positive, especially when it came to efficiency and longevity. In a 10-hour race, teams would usually expect to use more than 5 sets of tyres. With Davanti, the average was only 3-4 sets, proving the product’s superior durability on what is known to be a very abrasive track.”
