Continental appoints new purchasing, OE business managers

Continental’s Tires group sector has appointed two new managers. On 1st September, Jana Striezel assumed responsibility for global purchasing at Continental Tires and Dennis Bellmund became head of the tyre manufacturer’s global original equipment business.

In their new roles, both report directly to Christian Kötz, member of the Executive Board of Continental AG and head of the Tires group sector.

“We’re delighted to welcome Jana Striezel, a highly skilled manager, to our team. She brings extensive expertise in international procurement and will focus on driving forward our purchasing strategy,” said Kötz.

“In Dennis Bellmund, our global original equipment business has gained a highly experienced leader. Thanks to his many years at Continental, he is familiar with our company and our customers’ needs from many different angles.”

In her new position, Striezel is responsible for strategic and operational purchasing for Continental Tires worldwide. A trained lawyer, she previously held several management positions in procurement at Renault, including heading purchasing for the Renault brand and the alliance with Nissan and Mitsubishi in Europe.

Bellmund now heads the passenger-car and commercial-vehicle original equipment business for Continental Tires. He has been with Continental for 25 years, holding various management positions in Germany and abroad. Most recently, he was responsible for Continental’s tyre retail operations.

Previously, he managed supply chain operations in the EMEA region and served as sales director for international customers in the European replacement tyre business.
