The President of Italy Giorgio Napolitano met with Pirelli chairman and CEO Marco Tronchetti and other top management to mark the 140th anniversary of the company’s foundation in 1872.

A third consecutive victory for Red Bull driver Sebastian Vettel, following on from his success in Singapore and Japan, has made the drivers’ championship even closer heading into the final four rounds of the season.

Testing of Pirelli’s state-of-the-art Cyber Fleet system has doubled up so that a new programme of tests in Germany, where more than a million kilometres have been monitored in barely two months, joins the existing South American schedule.
