Brityrex International on the horizon

For anyone interested in meeting new tyre suppliers, seeing the latest workshop equipment in action and catching up on the latest tyre industry legislation, making a date with Brityrex in Manchester in October should be a top priority.

“Brityrex is the UK’s only specialist tyre and equipment exhibition and a day spent in Manchester would be very well spent meeting new suppliers and getting up to speed with issues like tyre labelling or TPMS,” says Paul Farrant, managing director of ECI International. “It’s a low-cost, high-return business investment that we think all companies should consider making.”

Since the last show in 2010 Brityrex has moved to a new venue at Manchester’s prestigious EventCity exhibition centre, near the popular Trafford Park complex. The decision means easier access for visitors and exhibitors with great connections to the motorway network, free parking and improved facilities, all without sacrificing the convenience of nearby city centre hotels and attractions.

Brityrex established itself as the UK’s premier tyre show in the late 1970s and while it has broadened and diversified to embrace all aspects of the trade since that time, tyres remain a prime focus. The exhibition will bring together dozens of manufacturers, distributors and retreaders of tyres for all applications and market sectors. Many new and emerging brands , from across the world will be on show for the first time in the UK, offering opportunities for wholesalers and retailers seeking to expand or supplement their current offers.

Workshop equipment will be another major attraction, with leading suppliers demonstrating the latest technologies that can improve the efficiency and profitability of the tyre bay and fast fit. The buzz words are ‘leverless’ tyre changers, laser positioning and equipment designed to manage the technical challenges of larger tyre sizes, expensive alloys and run-flat systems.
