Bridgestone to become sole tyre supplier for Formula E

Bridgestone will become the sole tyre supplier for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship from the 2026/27 Season.

The upcoming Formula E season will see the introduction of the new GEN4 racing car, which promises to set a new benchmark for speed, sustainability and innovation in motorsport.

The GEN4 boasts acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.8 seconds, a top speed of 335 km/h, 600kW (815bhp) of peak power delivering high torque, and permanent active All-Wheel Drive.

To meet these high-performance requirements, Bridgestone has developed the Potenza Gen4 tyre, which it says features high grip to maximise vehicle performance, wide adaptability to diverse road and weather conditions worldwide, and durability to maintain high performance from the start to the end of races.

Additionally, Bridgestone has developed Potenza Gen4 Typhoon rain tyre, which enables stable driving even in heavy rain.
