Bridgestone OE on Yamaha YZF-R9

Bridgestone will supply its Battlax Racing Street RS11 as original equipment for the new Yamaha Motor YZF-R9 motorcycle, sold in Japan and Europe.

The new model will be fitted with Battlax Racing Street RS11 tyres in size 12/70ZR17 (front) and 18/55ZR17 (rear).

Bridgestone says the Battlax Racing Street RS11 tyres for the YZF-R9 are ‘Dan-Totsu’ products that apply technologies cultivated through motorsports activities to commercial products.

These tyres adopt pattern designs that enhance contact patch rigidity and optimise the tread’s rigidity balance, increasing the contact area when the motorcycle is leaned over. This achieves high cornering grip performance and sharp handling, especially in dry conditions.

Through these Dan-Totsu products, Bridgestone says it contributes to the performance of the new YZF-R9.
