Bridgestone Battlax Hypersport S21 OE on BMW S1000RR

Bridgestone, one of the world’s largest tyre and rubber companies says that the Battlax Hypersport S21 has been selected and approved by BMW Motorrad as OE (original equipment) on its new S1000RR.

Bridgestone says it developed the Battlax S21 specifically for the new S1000RR.

According to Bridgestone, the front S21 tyre is designed with an optimised crown profile for better handling and precision through corners and a superb neutral feeling, together with a triple-layer compound and high-stiffness bead fillers for optimum damping and stability.

The rear S21 tyre features an enhanced cornering stability and grip by mean of a specific top compound and a higher crown stiffness thanks to the Bridgestone Mono Spiral Belt technology.

Nico Thuy, Head of Motorcycle Europe, Bridgestone EMEA said: “After many years of supply of our Hypersport S20 Evo on the previous S1000RR model, it was our target to provide BMW Motorrad with a tyre that gives riders the best that this new superbike can offer. The Battlax Hypersport S21 for BMW S1000RR will be available worldwide in 2019.
